Oh, wow. We don't know what to say. We don't even have a speech prepared. I mean, we thought about writing one, but then we got busy sending about ten million text messages and all of a sudden the big moment was here! This thing is heavier than it looks.
First, we want to thank the Academy. Haha. That's a joke. We've just always wanted to say that. But seriously, we want to thank J.D. Power and Associates for naming us highest in customer satisfaction for the fifth year in a row. When we started out as a mobile phone company, we always dreamed that one day we'd be Canada's favourite, and now we're thrilled it's happened five years in a row!
There are so many people to thank. Alexander Graham Bell for inventing the phone. The big cheese, Sir Richard, for starting this whole Virgin thing. Whoever it was that first texted "LOL". But most of all, we want to thank each of you.
Thanks to the Mom in Vancouver who uses me to call her son in Ottawa over and over and over again. And thanks to her Son for always taking advantage of my call display and letting us put it through to voicemail.
Thanks to the girl in Calgary that chats with me on the bus, the man in St. John's who checks his personal emails at work and his work emails at home, and the guy in Halifax who plays our games during class… and then plays them again during detention.
And to the guy in Montréal who let me send that late night booty text for him, we want you to know that it's not just a job for us. We feel like we all scored that night.
